SIP Trunks
Super-charge your phone system
Many users of traditional PABX systems can benefit from Next Generation Networks technologies without throwing away a perfectly good phone system to do so. A sip trunk is simply a different way of connecting your phone system to the outside world.
With standard (BT) phone lines you are stuck with using the allocated phone line number as your business phone number. A sip trunk breaks the link between line and number. Your sip trunk account can utilise multiple numbers of different types including STD geographic (e.g. 01158526600) and or non-geographic (e.g. 0845, 0870). You can even employ geographic numbers from outside your telephone exchange area; great for marketing campaigns.
Additional lines
If you wish to keep your existing ISDN lines you can add a sip trunk to provide additional channels for inbound and or outbound calling. This is not only a superb backup to your ISDN lines; it will also provide additional hosted numbering options.
Added Features/Services
Adding a sip trunk to your PABX can cost-effectively provide such additional benefits as call logging and call recording. Adding call recording to an ISDN30 system using a sip trunk can save you thousands of pounds.
Benefits:
- Phone number options – add new numbers and DDI’s
- Reduced line rental costs
- Free on-net calls to VoIP home workers and remote offices
- Call logging
- Optional on-net call recording
- Auto-attendants and hunt groups
